MILLER SNAGS CAREER WIN NO. 100 AS NO. 5 HAWKS TRIUMPH ON SOPHOMORE DAY
NORFOLK, Neb. – The No. 5 Northeast Community College women’s soccer team was at home Saturday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field for a conference battle with Southeastern Community College. The Hawks were victorious in the matchup by a final score of 10-1 on Sophomore Day.

Northeast (14-1-1, 6-0-1 ICCAC) tallied 17 shots on goal during the contest and kept the scoring coming throughout the day. Anna Schloeglmann (Sharding, Austria) was all over the field for the Hawks as she assisted four different goals in the showdown. The victory marked the 100th at Northeast in the illustrious career of Head Women's Soccer Coach Chad Miller at the helm of the women's soccer program.
Sophomores Hannah Thornell (Auckland, New Zealand), Carly Schaad (Columbus, Neb.), Ursula Fissenden (Kent, England), Megan Heffernan (Cordangan, Ireland), Jessie Eijbersen (Arnhem, Netherlands), Chelsea Dolbel (Devonport, Australia), Pyper Lochead (Queensland, Australia), Aidyn Woodall (Castle Rock, Colo.), Madison Krueger (Hudson, Colo.), Jaidyn Cavalieri (Castle Rock, Colo.) and Oceanna Solis (Brighton, Colo.) were all honored after the game as part of Sophomore Day celebrations.
The Hawks currently sit second in the ICCAC standings but will clinch home-field advantage in the playoffs with a win Wednesday against Iowa Central Community College.

Miller on what it means to earn his 100th win:
"It is honestly a great tribute to all the girls, the coaches, the families and the college. They made it all happen. Most of all, the memories. I'm so thankful."

The Hawks will compete in their final match of the regular season and will welcome No. 10 Iowa Central Community College to town at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk.
