Northeast (10-0, 2-0-1 ICCAC) fell behind 1-0 initially but evened the score on a magnificent goal from thirty yards out off the foot of Talia Sanders (Queensland, Australia). The two sides were tied 1-1 at halftime and remained at that score the rest of the matchup. The NJCAA made a rule change in the offseason that eliminated overtime, which meant that the game was determined to be a draw after the completion of 90 minutes.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Women's Soccer Coach Chad Miller on overcoming a deficit today to even the score:
"The team is not fazed by playing from behind," Miller said. "If teams are going to keep dropping 10 in the box, we have to take advantage of our opportunities."
Miller on shifting the focus to Iowa Lakes:
"We seem to play our best soccer when the stakes are high," Miller said. "I don't believe Iowa Lakes will drop 10 in, so it will be nice to play some real soccer."
