Northeast (9-10, 6-5 ICCAC) downed Iowa Lakes 69-50 back on December 2 at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk and the rematch with the Lakers marked the first time that they have matched up with an ICCAC opponent twice this year. Allison Richards (Pine Ridge, S.D.) put in 29 points for the Hawks fresh off of being named ICACC Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. Sharissa Haas (Pine Ridge, S.D.) added an additional 10 points in her return to the lineup as Northeast will now shift their focus to their third road game in six days on Saturday at NIACC.

HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Women's Basketball Matt Svehla on closing out the Lakers tonight and the current stretch for the Hawks:
"We did not have a real clean fourth quarter and we lost our lead, but give Iowa Lakes credit because they refused to go away," Svehla said. "We managed the final stages of the game by making six of seven free throws and we defended the final possessions pretty well. Playing on the road is never easy and this is our second four-hour trip in three days, so we'll take it. We will be traveling again this weekend as we head out to play a very good NIACC team."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will compete in their third consecutive road contest at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mason City, Iowa against North Iowa Area Community College.
