HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Head Women's Basketball Coach Matt Svehla on his team's performance today:
"I liked how we opened the game up," Svehla said. "I thought that we did a lot of good things in the first half. Didn't quite play how I wanted us to play in the second half, but we got the win. We'll move forward heading into our closing week here. We are hoping to close this semester strong and on a high note."
Svehla on the key to having a successful final week before some time off:
"We have to stay focused," Svehla said. "We have exams coming up and breaks coming up. We can't be putting ourselves emotionally on break already. Let's stay focused on the task ahead and that's Southwestern right now and then NIACC next Saturday."
UP NEXT:
The Hawks will head to Southwestern Community College for a battle at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Creston, Iowa.
