FIVE PLAYERS IN DOUBLE FIGURES AS NORTHEAST WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ROLLS MARSHALLTOWN

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College women's basketball team played host to Marshalltown Community College Wednesday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk. The Hawks scored their most points in a game this season as they took the victory by a final score of 92-27.

The Hawks (10-6, 4-3 ICCAC) jumped out to a 15-0 lead and never looked back as the 65-point win was their largest margin of victory to this point of the season. Northeast shot 43-percent from the field compared to just 20.5-percent from the Tigers.

Stevi Fallis (Pine Ridge, S.D.), Lexi Schroder (Stuart, Neb.), Allison Richards (Pine Ridge, S.D.), Alexis Bliven (Holdrege, Neb.) and Analyssa Maldonado (Sunnyside, Wash.) all were in double figures in points on the evening.

Head women's basketball coach Matt Svehla on what clicked tonight:

"We had a pretty good start in the game and got control of things early which is always helpful," Svehla said. "Was nice to see balanced scoring and our bench contribute."

UP NEXT:

The Hawks will be back on the road this weekend as they will battle with Ellsworth Community College at 1 p.m. Saturday in Iowa Falls, Iowa.
