NORFOLK, Neb. – The all-time leading scorer at Elkhorn Valley High School Hannah Ollendick is headed to Northeast Community College to continue her academic and athletic career, it was announced by head coach Matt Svehla.
"Hannah had a great high school career and set some records that are quite impressive," Svehla said. "She can shoot the three with good range and she has the potential to score in bunches. Her passing skills are good and that is a compliment to her vision and feel for the game."
Aside from being the all-time leading scorer with 1,455 points, she also leaves as the all-time steals leader with 345. Ollendick was a First Team All-NVC selection all four years in high school and was an All-State Honorable Mention for three years. She was voted Offensive MVP all four years and was a two-time team captain.
"Northeast is getting a good one in Hannah," Elkhorn Valley Head Girls Basketball Coach Brendan Dittmer said. "She truly loves this sport and has the talent to compete at the next level. Hannah leaves Elkhorn Valley as one of the best shooters in school history. We look forward to watching her compete in red for the next couple years."
The 5-foot-8 sharp shooter was a member of the Norfolk Daily News Elite Eight First Team her senior year and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the state basketball championships. She earned Antelope County News All-Area Team as a sophomore, junior and senior, while being named the captain as a senior.
