Hawks fall in slugfest to Marshalltown
MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Seventeen runs in the first game and 12 in the second weren’t enough for the Northeast Community College softball team (2-32, 0-14 ICCAC) on Tuesday.

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Seventeen runs in the first game and 12 in the second weren't enough for the Northeast Community College softball team (2-32, 0-14 ICCAC) on Tuesday.
Marshalltown swept the ICCAC doubleheader 17-12 and 12-10 in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Chantel Julian (Roseville, Calif.) went 3-for-5 at the plate, with a run and an RBI. Jacqueline Denning (Sacramento, Calif.) was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs and two RBI.
In the final game of the doubleheader, Abby Pierce (Brainard, Neb.) collected three hits as Denning went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and two RBI.
The Hawks are back in action at 1 and 3 p.m. Friday at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park in Norfolk, Neb.
