Hawks softball falls to Concordia University JV
SEWARD, Neb. – The Northeast Community College softball team hit the road on Thursday and fell in non-conference play to Concordia University JV 5-3 and 7-6 in Seward, Neb.

SEWARD, Neb. – The Northeast Community College softball team hit the road on Thursday and fell in non-conference play to Concordia University JV 5-3 and 7-6 in Seward, Neb.
The Hawks (2-16) maintained a 3-2 advantage for a large portion of Game One, until the Bulldogs added two runs in the bottom of the sixth to put the game out of reach for Northeast.
Maggie Berryman (Norfolk, Neb.) was 2-for-2 at the plate, with and RBI. Madison McKewon (Springfield, Neb.) went 1-for-2 with two runs.
In Game Two, the Hawks held a 2-0 lead until the Bulldogs answered with two runs in the bottom portion of the inning. The Bulldogs eventually added four runs in the bottom of the sixth to keep Northeast at bay.
McKewon was 3-for-4 with two runs, while Berryman went 1-for-3 with two RBI, a run and a walk.
Northeast welcomes Kirkwood Community College for an ICCAC doubleheader beginning at Noon on Sunday at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park in Noroflk.
