Heimes leads Northeast golf to third-place finish

OAKLAND, Neb. – Freshman Ty Heimes (Battle Creek, Neb.) tied for third-place at the Midland Oakland Invite on Saturday as the Northeast Community College men’s golf team took third at the Oakland Golf Club in Oakland, Neb.

OAKLAND, Neb. – Freshman Ty Heimes (Battle Creek, Neb.) tied for third-place at the Midland Oakland Invite on Saturday as the Northeast Community College men's golf team took third at the Oakland Golf Club in Oakland, Neb.

Heimes finished the day with a 74, while Jordan Hart (Omaha, Neb.) tied for fifth-place with a 75. John Lapour (Omaha, Neb.) hit a 76, good for ninth-place and Grant Sell (Gothenburg, Neb.) tied for 13^th-place with a 78.

Dawson Sundsted (Spearfish, S.D.) hit and 83 to tie for 32^nd-place and Gabriel Pfeifer (Madison, Neb.) carded an 88 to finish in 43^rd-place.

The Hawks host the Northeast Triangular at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk.
