Northeast golf takes seventh in Yankton

YANKTON, S.D. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team kicked off the fall portion of the 2019 season on Monday and Tuesday, taking seventh-place at the Hillcrest Country Club and the Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, S.D.

YANKTON, S.D. – The Northeast Community College men's golf team kicked off the fall portion of the 2019 season on Monday and Tuesday, taking seventh-place at the Hillcrest Country Club and the Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, S.D.

Matthew Kingston (Springfield, Neb.) led the Hawks with a two-day total of 159, putting him in a five-way tie for 15^th-place.

John Lapour (Omaha, Neb.) and Jordan Hart (Omaha, Neb.) tied for 24^th-place, while Ty Heimes (Battle Creek, Neb.) and Grant Sell (Gothenburg, Neb.) tied for 42^nd-place.

The Hawks return to the greens at the Blue River Classic on Sept. 3 and 4 in Lincoln, Neb.
