Schaefer finishes in top-25 at NJCAA DII Men’s National Golf Championship
PLYMOUTH, Ind. – Freshman Matthew Schaefer (Fordyce, Neb.) recorded a top-25 finish out of 126 golfers at the NJCAA DII Men’s Golf Championship at the Swan Lake Golf Resort in Plymouth, Ind.
PLYMOUTH, Ind. – Freshman Matthew Schaefer (Fordyce, Neb.) recorded a top-25 finish out of 126 golfers at the NJCAA DII Men's Golf Championship at the Swan Lake Golf Resort in Plymouth, Ind.
Schaefer finished it a tie for 21st-place, after recording a four-day total of 303. The South Dakota State University commit shot a 73 on Day 1, followed by a 76, 82 and a 72 on the final day.
As a Hawk, Schaefer shot an average score of 75 in 13 tournaments.
He took home two first-place finishes throughout the year, with one coming from the Midland Invite and another at the Northeast Triangular.
