Hawks take second at Southeast Invitational
BEATRICE, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team competed in its second invitational of the week on Wednesday and Thursday at the Southeast Community College Invitational at the Beatrice Country Club in Beatrice, Neb.

Matthews Schaefer (Fordyce, Neb.) took second in the two-day event, hitting a 12-over par 156. John Lapour (Omaha, Neb.) came in fourth with a 158, while Mason Stubbs (Randolph, Neb.) tallied a 159 for fifth place.
Grant Sell (Gothenburg, Neb.) took seventh with a 165 and Dawson Sundsted (Spearfish, S.D.) tallied a 173, good for 10th-place. Matthew Kingston (Springfield, Neb.) and Dylan Lilienthal (Lincoln, Neb.) finished in 11th and 12th-place, respectively.
As a team, the Hawks shot a 638.
The Hawks compete in the Region XI Tournament on May 5 and 6 at the Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames, Iowa.
