Northeast golf takes seventh at Iowa Central Spring Invitational
FORT DODGE, Iowa – Freshman Matthew Schaefer (Fordyce, Neb.) led the Northeast Community College men’s golf team at the Iowa Central Spring Invitational on Sunday and Monday, taking seventh-place in the two-day event at the Fort Dodge Country Club in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

As a team, the Hawks placed seventh with a 57-over par 625.
Matthew Kingston (Springfield, Neb.) tied for 21st-place, carding a 13-over par 155, while Mason Stubbs (Randolph, Neb.) tied for 33rd with a 76 and an 83.
Grant Sell (Gothenburg, Neb.) tied for 37th after shooting an 80 and 81. John Lapour (Omaha, Neb.) carded a two-day total of 165 to tie for 45th-place.
The Hawks return to action when they host the Northeast Community College Triangular on Monday at the Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk, Neb.
