Northeast golf takes fifth at Midland Invite

BLAIR, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team rebounded on Saturday after finishing in 10th-place last week, by bringing home a fifth-place finish at the Midland Invite at River Wilds Golf Club in Blair, Neb.

BLAIR, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men's golf team rebounded on Saturday after finishing in 10^th-place last week, by bringing home a fifth-place finish at the Midland Invite at River Wilds Golf Club in Blair, Neb.

South Dakota State University commit Matthew Schaefer (Fordyce, Neb.) tied for second with a 71. Matthew Kingston (Springfield, Neb.) tied for 12^th and Grant Sell (Gothenburg, Neb.) tied for 25^th with a 77.

Hunter Deines (Cairo, Neb.) carded an 81 and Mason Stubbs (Randolph, Neb.) shot an 83 to finish in the top-50, respectively.

The Hawks compete in the Region XI Spring Preview on Monday at the Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames, Iowa.
