Northeast golf finishes in top-10 at Blue River Classic
LINCOLN, Neb. – The Northeast Community College men’s golf team took home a 10th-place finish at the Blue River Classic on Monday and Tuesday at the Wilderness Ridge and Highland Golf Courses in Lincoln, Neb.

Matthew Kingston (Springfield, Neb.) led the Hawks with a two-day total of 157 to finish in a tie for 33rd-place. Hunter Deines (Cairo, Neb.) shot a 158 and Matthew Schaefer (Fordyce, Neb.) tallied a 162.
Mason Stubbs (Randolph, Neb.) and Grant Sell (Gothenburg, Neb.) rounded out the Northeast scoring with a 164 and a 169, respectively.
A total of 19 teams competed in the two-day event.
The Hawks hit the greens on Saturday at the Midland Invite at the River Wild Golf Course in Blair, Neb.
