Northeast men’s golf competes at Midland Fall Invitational

Schaefer shot a two-under par 70, leading the Northeast Community College men's golf team to a 10th-place finish out of 20 teams with a team score of 308.
"Matt is a player who puts in a lot of time and effort on improving his golf game," head coach Kurt Pytleski said. "It was nice to see him rewarded for his hard work."
For the Hawks, Dawson Sundsted (Spearfish, S.D.) tied for 37th with a 76, while Hunter Deines (Ravenna, Neb.) shot an 80, tying for 65th-place. Also competing for Northeast, Grant Sell (Gotherburg, Neb.) tied for 74th and Matthew Kingston (Springfield, Neb.) tied for 79th, respectively.
The Hawks are back in action at the Region XI 2018 Fall Preview on Sunday and Monday at the Veenker Golf Club in Ames, Iowa.
