NORFOLK, Neb. – Five players scored in double figures for the Northeast Community College men's basketball team on Wednesday night, but it wasn't enough as Southeast Community College held off the Hawks (11-13, 1-4 ICCAC), 101-96 at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

It was a back-and-forth affair for much of the contest and it was the Hawks that ultimately took a four-point lead heading into halftime. The Storm gained momentum in the opening minutes of the second half, forcing the Hawks to fight back the rest of the way. The Storm's stout defensive effort forced the Hawks to commit 18 turnovers that resulted in 23 points.

Emmette Page (Crystal, Minn.) tallied 21 points and 10 assists. Daniel Akuei (Melbourne, Australia) added 19 points and seven boards, while Ben Moxness (Scribner, Neb.) pitched in 15 points and five rebounds. Luke Rollman (Humphrey, Neb.) recorded 13 points and grabbed five rebounds, while Michael Anderson (Lincoln, Neb.) had 10 points and seven boards.

The Hawks shot 50 percent from the field and 58 percent from the three-point line. Southeast hit 48 percent of its shots from the field and only 20 percent from deep.

The Hawks welcome Marshalltown Community College for an ICCAC showdown at 7 p.m. Saturday in Norfolk.
