Northeast (8-5) allowed no more than 27 points in each half as the Hawks shot a blistering 55 percent from the field and 48 percent from the three-point line.
Six players for the Hawks scored in double digits as they were led by Ben Moxness (Scribner, Neb.) with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field. Daniel Akuei (Melbourne, Australia) added 18 points and nine rebounds, while Emmette Page (Crystal, Minn.) had 16 points, six boards and five assists. Asher Scavella (Nassau, Bahamas) and Merrix Denn (Osmond, Neb.) tallied 13 and 12 points, respectively. Deon'ta Tinker (Nassau, Bahamas) pitched in 10 points.
The Hawks take on North Dakota State College of Science at 7 p.m. for a non-conference showdown on Wednesday in Norfolk.
