The Storm hit 45 percent of their shots from the field to hold off the Hawks (13-14, 2-5 ICCAC) by the final of 85-76 on Wednesday night in non-conference action in Beatrice, Neb.
Down by just a point heading into halftime, the Hawk were unable to withstand the tough defensive effort by the Storm, shooting just 36 percent from the field.
Emmette Page (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) gave the Hawks a spark on the offensive end, recording a double-double with 28 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Joel Ufele (London, United Kingdom) had a near double-double with 14 points and nine boards, while Daniel Akuei (Melbourne, Australia) had 12 rebounds, seven points and five assists.
Northeast battles Highway 81-foe Central Community College at 7 p.m., Wednesday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
