No. 12 Indian Hills tops Northeast men at home
NORFOLK, Neb. – It was a back-and-forth affair for much of the first half, but the No. 12 Indian Hills Community College men’s basketball team tallied 57 points in the second half and cruised to a 101-79 victory over the Northeast Community College men’s basketball team on Wednesday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.

Down by only nine points at halftime, the Warriors collected 34 points from its bench compared to 22 by the Hawks. Indian Hills also saw each player record a point or more in the ICCAC contest.
Emmette Page (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) led the Hawks (12-11, 1-4) with 21 points on 7-of-15 shooting from field, while Caleb Rihanek (Spencer, Neb.) tallied 14 points. Daniel Akuei (Melbourne, Australia) was two points shy of a double-double with 12 rebounds and eight points.
The Hawks shot 41 percent from the field and 45 percent from the beyond the arc. Indian Hills hit 57 percent of its shots from the field and 41 percent from three-point land.
Northeast continues conference action, taking on Iowa Western Community College at 7 p.m., Saturday at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk.
