Freshman Emmette Page (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) drained four 3-pointers in the first half to keep the Hawks (4-2) rolling as he finished with 20 points. Sharp-shooting forward Seth Coatta (Minnetonka, Minn.) led the Hawks with 25 points, while Daniel Akuei (Melbourne, Australia) and Joel Ufele (London, United Kingdom) added 14 points each.
Newcomer Luke Rollman (Humphrey, Neb.) had one of his best nights so far this season in a Hawks uniform, chipping in 12 points. Fellow freshman Ben Moxness (Scribner, Neb.) added 10 points.
"I thought we played well for the most part tonight," head coach Dan Anderson said. "There are a few things that we need to continue to work on, but I liked our energy and how we shot the ball."
Northeast heads north to compete in the Lake Region Classic, taking on Lake Region State College at 7 p.m., Friday in Devils Lake, N.D. The Hawks will battle North Dakota State College of Science at 1 p.m., Saturday.
