HEAR FROM THE HAWKS COACH:
Northeast head baseball coach Marcus Clapp on what it meant to play on the new infield turf for the first time:
"This is just a big thing for Norfolk," Clapp said. "For the city and baseball in Norfolk. This is huge for not only us but the high school and the legion as well. It looks wonderful. It's just a really good thing for the city."
Clapp on how today played out for his squad:
"We had our pitchers scripted," Clapp said. "We threw a lot of guys today to get work. I thought we threw well. I thought Game 2 was better offensively. We scored a little bit. We need to continue to have good at-bats and have good approaches. Defensively we have done a good job."
