Hawks make quick work of Mount Marty JV on Wednesday night
NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College baseball team stepped out of conference play on Wednesday night and toppled Mount Marty College JV 12-2 at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk, Neb.

NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College baseball team stepped out of conference play on Wednesday night and toppled Mount Marty College JV 12-2 at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk, Neb.
The Hawks (23-13, 12-8 ICCAC) scored a combined seven runs in the second and third innings and went on to add five runs in the final three innings to keep the Lancers at bay.
Jackson Tingwald (Ralston, Neb.) went 3-for-3 at the plate with four runs, a double, a walk and an RBI. Donovan Warren (Omaha, Neb.) added two hits, three RBI and two walks, while Jean Santos (Caguas, Puerto Rico) had two hits and two runs.
Derek Botaletto (Omaha, Neb.) and Brandon Zwiener (Norfolk, Neb.) each had a home run.
Dylan Nicholson (Papillion, Neb.) was the winning pitcher, tossing an inning, while striking out two batters and walking one.
Northeast is scheduled to take on Kirkwood Community College at 1 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
