Potter and Smith sweep weekly baseball honors
NORFOLK, Neb. – Drew Smith (Elkhorn, Neb.) and Alex Potter (Parker, Colo.) made their presence known on the baseball field last week, grabbing ICCAC baseball player and pitcher honors, respectively, it was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

In a 7-4 victory over Colby Community College last Wednesday, Smith had a career day, going 4-for-4 at the plate with a career-high six RBI, three runs, two doubles and two home runs.
Potter was the go-to force for the Hawks out of the bullpen. The freshman picked-up a save over Colby in an inning of relief and a win the following day in a 15-10 win over McCook Community College. Potter tossed two and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit, while striking out seven batters.
