WATERLOO, Iowa – The Northeast Community College softball team hit the road for a four-game trip that included two contests against No. 17 Iowa Central Community College on Saturday in Fort Dodge, Iowa and two showdowns with Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa on Sunday. The Hawks fell by final scores of 11-0 and 5-2 to the Tritons before sweeping the RedTails by final scores of 8-5 and 9-5.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The No. 10 Northeast Community College men’s golf team traveled to Sioux City, Iowa Thursday and Friday to compete in the Briar Cliff Spring Match Play at Green Valley Golf Course. As the No. 2 seed, the Hawks downed No. 7 Briar Cliff University and No. 3 Morningside University on Thursday before topping No. 1 Northwestern College on Friday to win the event and bring a trophy back to Norfolk.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Northeast Community College head women’s basketball coach Matt Svehla has been named as one of the first ever honorees of the NJCAA Coaches Legacy Awards, which recognizes the all-time winningest coaches in NJCAA history, it was announced by the NJCAA. This is the first time in the near 90-year history of the NJCAA that coaches have been recognized in such a fashion by the Association.
